On Tuesday Grandma and Grandpa Button arrived to meet their first grandchild Mya. They were very excited to finally meet her. Grandma spent lots of time holding Mya. Grandpa was a little hesitant at first. Chad had his last photography class that day so he was only home for dinner. We did have time to open all of Mya's gifts that Grandma and Grandpa brought down for their friends in Canada.
Grandma and Grandpa have been spoiling Mya and Shelby with a lot of love and attention. Shelby loves the walks every morning. Mommy and Daddy like the home made meals every night that Grandma prepares. Grandma and Grandpa are spending lots of time in the pool.
On Friday we took Mya to her new pediatrician. This is the one we originally planned to go to. Mya is doing very well. She weighed 9lbs 11.5 ounces. Her head circumference was 14.75. Her length was 22.75. The doctor is very pleased with Mya's progress and stated she looks good. Mya is allowed to go swimming now and take bathes! Mya had to get her 2nd hepatitis B vaccination which she did not like. It made Mommy very sad because she had never heard Mya cry so loud before. It will be very hard next month for Mommy so Daddy is going to go to the appointment again. Grandma and Grandpa Button took every one out to dinner at "Chee Burger Chee Burger" that night. It was Mya's second trip to a restaurant. She did very well and enjoyed sitting in her car seat.
On Saturday Mommy and Daddy are going out on a date to the Cheese Cake Factory. Grandma and Grandpa gave them a gift certificate and are going to babysit. Katie's cousin Jeannie is getting married today to Matt. Unfortunately we could not make the trip to Alabama for the wedding but wish them the very best.
