12 Days Old

Now that we are off the Billy Blanket we have been more social. On Thursday night our friend Jennifer came over to see Mya and made us dinner of stuffed shells bread and a salad. It was very nice of her to do. We realized Shelby is more protective of Mya then we thought. Shelby would not leave Jennifer's side when she was holding Mya.
Friday was an interesting day. Mya was cranky all day and we could not figure out why. She usually is very content. After 2 really bad diapers and 1 really bad spit up we realized we had switched formula the night before and it was not agreeing with her. Chad made a dash to the store to pick up the formula we had been using. By the time he made it home Mya had spit up all over her bed, 2 outfits, 2 receiving blankets and I had spit up in my hair. Every thing has been fine since we switched back to the original formula and Mya is back to being a content baby.
Saturday we went to our friends house Claudia and Elie. They have a 2 1/2 year old Joseph who was very excited to meet "baby Mya". They made us a delicious dinner. Mya did very well for the outing. Unfortunately we forgot to take pictures. It would have been a great picture when Chad was standing and rocking Mya and Joseph decided he wanted to be held and rocked to. He even went to get his blanket so he could be swaddled. So both daddies were standing next to each their rocking the kids.
Sunday was a "relaxing" day, if there is anything relaxing with a 12 day old. We held our first web cam conferences with grandma and grandpa Button in the morning. Unfortunately due to technical issues we could not see them or really hear them but they were able to see Mya. That afternoon we had another web cam conference with grandma and grandpa Radcliffe. Aunt Jeanne, cousins Leah and Emme and great grandma Radcliffe were also there. Both times we had to end the conference early because Mya needed to eat. Chad is making a steak dinner tonight!
