On Thursday (9-4-08) Mya experienced her first plane ride. She did really well. Mya slept most of the plane ride and loved looking at the 2 children across the aisle from us. She skipped a nap because she loved going through the airport in Detroit looking at all the people. It does make me appreciate all the traveling I did before having children.
On Friday we had a party at Aunt Kori's house. My friends from college (Jackie and Jeremy and their kids Brandon and Ali, Mike and Jamie and their new baby Harper) came over. Jackie's parent also came over for dessert so they could meet the new babies. It was great to see everyone again. It is funny to think how much has changed in just a few years. Instead of playing drinking games we had fun playing with all the kids.
Saturday was the big day. It was my cousin Brad and Erin's wedding. We went to the hotel early that day so Mya could meet everyone before the wedding. Aunt Jeanne and cousin Leah were the first to hold Mya. Then Great Grandma Radcliffe (GiGi) came to the room and was able to hold her 6th great grandchild. Mya also met her Great Aunts Kathie and Susan and Great Uncle Tom and Bob. Mya slept through out the wedding ceremony. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. Mya loved the reception and did a good job of not spitting up on anyone.
Sunday Grandma and Grandpa, GiGi, Aunt Jeanne and cousin Leah and Emme came over to Kori and Bill's house so they could meet Mason. Kori's parents also came over to meet Mya. Emme loved playing with all the toys. Later that day Jackie came over for dinner. Needless to say we were all pretty exhausted by the end of the weekend.
